TIPS AND IDEAS |
Make Every Penny Count
Economic times are tough for everyone and when you have increased medical expenses, like we all do, it can be even a bigger challenge. So, last month while we were all out buying Christmas gifts and eating way too many carbohydrates than we will admit to in our Endocrinologists office next month, we need to save money in other places.
One idea for saving dollars is by using a milk jug as your sharps container. You can duct tape the lid closed and throw it in the garbage. There are no laws for individuals disposing of there sharps only for hospitals and medical facilities. However, keep in mind that if you do not dispose of them carefully and your garbage collector is poked from one of your syringes or lancets, you are liable.
Another idea is to call and find out if the test strips that you use have a savings card available for them. Many of the strip manufacturers offer a co-pay discount card, even if it is only 10%, every little bit adds up. You can also find many coupons on supplies and other diabetic related items by searching diabetes coupons online.

PRODUCT UPDATES |
We have been working with our manufacturer on the design of our women's tank top. The trouble we are running into is the exact placement of the pocket to meet the needs of the majority of our loyal customers.
We have tried a few locations and are getting mixed feedback from our small pool of product testers. So now we would like to hear from you so we can move forward with the final design and bring this new item to market.

If you were to put a pocket in a teen/women's tank top that would hold your insulin pump, where would you want the pocket?
LOCATION OPTIONS:
1. Front and center between the twins
2. Just behind your arm, about the level your bra sits
3. Towards the bottom of the shirt in the front
4. Along your lower back, a few inches away from the side seam
5. Along your lower back, dead center
We will use your feedback to determine the final pump pocket location in this new product. If you have an opinion, we want to hear from you!
