TIPS AND IDEAS |
GOT LUNCH? Whether you're off to school or off to work, lunchtime can often create challenges.
AT SCHOOL: Most children have the choice of eating at school in the cafeteria or bringing a lunch from home. Children who bring their lunches often have lower carb counts and better sugar control. You can also do the carb counting ahead of time and put a note in the lunch box making covering of the lunch quick and easy. Another tip for school lunches is to cut everything into fourths so that if your child does not eat it all, it can still be easily counted. If your child prefers eating the school's lunch, try to pick one or two meals they particularly like to eat each week or each time it is on the menu. For example, if they want Pizza on Fridays you could track their Friday sugars and adjust their insulin as necessary based on that particular food. Your child’s school should have a list of all the carbohydrates in the food that they serve at the school. Make sure they provide you with a copy.
AT WORK: If you're off to work, you are not too old to plan ahead in order to make sure you stay on an eating schedule. We all know that unexpected things come up at work so, make sure you always have quick sugar in your desk drawer along with snacks. It is also a good idea to pack one lunch and take it with you on Monday. If you never eat it, that's fine, you can throw it out on Friday. However, if you get stuck at work and are unable to leave for any reason it is there for you. Also, if you easily lose track of time, don’t forget you can set most insulin pumps to alarm and remind you that it is time to eat.

PRODUCT UPDATES |
The cami bra has been restocked in all sizes! If you are not sure our bra will work for you, please view our brief movie. The bra is highlighted towards the end of the video clip. We have customers as young as 6 years old wearing the bras because they are a simple solution that secures your tubing under your clothes so it doesn't get snagged on anything, and provides easy access to your pump.
Favorite Bra Question: Can you see the pump sitting under the shirt?
Answer: Just slightly depending on the snugness of the shirt. Typically, you don't notice anything. However if the shirt is tighter fitting, you may see the outline of the top corners of the pump.
Our boxer briefs for men and boys are on the design table of our manufacturer. Once we approve the final design, we will put in an order for the briefs. After the order is started, we will receive the TOP (Top of Production) pieces. These TOP pieces are what we will send to the people that volunteered to be a Product Tester for us.
Thank you to those of you that agreed to test our products before we complete the entire boxer brief order. As soon as the TOP comes to us, we will ship them out to you. Keep reading our newsletter to follow the progress of this developing product.
