There's an App for That!
It was exciting to see that there are many apps that you can use with an iPhone or an iTouch that are designed to help manage diabetes. I haven't had the opportunity yet to use them myself, but I am investigating them and thought you may want to as well. If I can condense the number of extra things I carry with me by more effectively using the cell phone that is always by my side, then that sounds like a win-win!
To view the apps currently available, you can visit www.itunes.com and search for diabetes apps under the medical category. One of the most interesting apps I have discovered is called Islet-Diabetes Assistant. With this app you can track your glucose, insulin, food and activity with helpful graphs and data you can use to help you tightly manage your diabetes.
If you are currently using an app for your diabetes, give us your feedback at info@mykpp.com and we will share it with all of our subscribers.
