Accu-Check Spirit Insulin Pumps Recalled

I wanted to pass on this information to all of you in case you are currently using the Spirit Pump and are unaware of the recall. The potential defect is in the “up” and/or “down” buttons of some devices. You can check your serial number against those recalled by following the link below. You can also contact Accu-Check Spirit hotline at 1-800-778-5095 for a replacement pump if needed.

Pumps with serial numbers including and above SN10006094 are not affected and no action is required by users of these pumps.

Toddler Tanks are Back in Stock

For our smallest customers, the toddler tanks arrived at the end of April and all sizes are available. This new shipment has the same great fit and soft material that you have come to expect of our KPP products.

We are working very hard with our manufacturer to finalize the design of our women's tank. We expect the sizes of the newly designed tanks to start at a girl's 10/12 and continue to through to a women's XL. This range of sizes should accommodate our pre-teen, teen and adult female customers. Our goal is to debut this new product at the Children with Diabetes conference in July 2009.

We will keep you updated on our progress. As with all of our products, the design process is extensive because we have very high expectations and ask our manufacturer to deliver a product that will outlast normal clothing even with the additional stress of carrying an insulin pump.
